We are delighted to announce that Tucson Hebrew Academy (THA) and Jewish Arizonans on Campus (JAC) are the recipients of the 2015 Goldman Family Israel Scholarship. Both organizations will receive a generous grant to award to one individual toward a trip to Israel.

THA, a non-profit pluralistic kindergarten through 8th grade Jewish Day School, will use the Goldman scholarship to help an 8th grade student participate in the school’s senior year trip to Israel. The eleven day trip will provide students in the graduating class with a wonderful opportunity to see, explore and bring to life all that they have studied at THA, as well as strengthen their connection to the land of Israel.

JAC, a non-profit organization that provides Jewish educational experiences and opportunities for college students, will use the Goldman scholarship to help a student visit Israel for a two-month stay. The trip will allow the student to study about their Jewish heritage, explore Israel and secure an internship to help further his or her career.

Past recipients of the Goldman Family Israel Scholarship include Congregation Anshei Israel, Congregation Bet Shalom, Congregation Chofetz Chayim and Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona.

The Goldman Family Israel Scholarship is made possible by the following endowment funds at JCF: Elliot S. Goldman Israel Scholarship Fund and the Goldman Family Israel Scholarship Fund.
